A Hanger That Adapts to the Garment

The Shape Memory Hanger is built around a simple problem: one fixed hanger shape is rarely right for every jacket, shirt or knit. Shoulder width, slope and structure change from garment to garment, yet most wardrobes use the same narrow profile for everything.

The Concept

Rather than asking the garment to conform to the hanger, this design allows the hanger to be adjusted to the garment. Once set, the mechanical adjustment remains in place so the same hanger can repeatedly support a preferred garment category with the same shoulder profile.

What It Does

Sliding shoulder sections allow the support width to be increased or reduced, while pivoting ends follow the natural shoulder angle more closely than a rigid horizontal bar. How to Use

1. Place the garment on the hanger and observe where the natural shoulder seam sits.
2. Adjust the shoulder width until the hanger ends sit inside the garment's shoulder line.
3. Set the shoulder angle so the garment rests without sharp pressure points.
4. Lock the adjustment and use the hanger normally.
5. Readjust whenever you change to a garment with a substantially different shape.

Care & Use
