Open the Places That Take the Longest to Dry

Pockets, cuffs, waistbands and layered seams often stay damp long after the rest of a garment feels dry. Pocket Air Dry Inserts are lightweight open-frame spacers designed to hold these thick areas slightly open so surrounding air can reach surfaces that would otherwise remain pressed together.

The Concept

The product does not try to dry the entire garment. Instead, it focuses on the small areas where moisture is commonly trapped. By improving spacing inside those areas, the inserts make a normal air-drying setup more effective without adding a motor, heat source or permanent appliance.

What It Does

Different insert shapes fit inside common garment zones such as trouser pockets, sleeve cuffs and waistbands. Their perforated structure maintains an air gap while using minimal surface contact with the fabric. The inserts are removed after drying and nest together for storage.

Why It Works

  • Creates airflow space inside pockets and other layered fabric zones.
  • Targets areas that often remain damp after the main body of a garment has dried.
  • Open-frame construction minimizes contact with wet fabric.
  • Can be used with air drying, drying racks or other normal non-heated garment drying routines.
  • Multiple shapes address pockets, cuffs and waistbands rather than relying on one universal piece.
  • Compact pieces nest together between uses.

How to Use

  1. After washing, gently reshape the garment and remove excess water according to the care label.
  2. Insert the appropriate spacer into a pocket, cuff or waistband area that tends to remain closed.
  3. Place the garment in its normal drying position.
  4. Check the garment periodically and remove the inserts once the area is dry.
  5. Allow the inserts themselves to dry fully before storing.

Design Note

Most drying products focus on the whole garment. This concept focuses on the hidden zones that slow the process down. The simple translucent forms are intended to feel more like precision tools than laundry accessories.
